Neck liposuction

A double chin occurs when fatty tissue accumulates between the patient’s chin and neck. Liposuction removes this fat, making the neck appear slender and longer as well as accentuating the jaw line and the chin’s shape. Sometimes the procedure can be combined with neck lift.

Many times double chin can be treated with lipolysis. It is a simple procedure injecting a small amount of lipolysis agent in the fat deposits. It enables targeted fat reduction. Based on the principle of lipolysis, the product can break down the cell membranes of fat cells and thus enable the removal of stored fat from the tissue.

Description

Double chin liposuction is performed either under local, or general anaesthesia and takes approximately 30 to 60 minutes. 2 to 3 small incisions are made on the neck and with thin cannula fat deposits are removed from selected area. The surgery is quick and the result noticeable after 2 weeks.

Postoperative recovery

  • Week 1: Rest and cold compressions. Stiches are removed. Elastic bandages are removed.
  • Week 2: Bruising and swelling mostly healed and results can be seen.
