David Vozlič is a maxillofacial surgeon with dual qualifications: Doctor of Medicine and Doctor of Dental Medicine, specializing in implantology, orthognathic and aesthetic surgery. He completed his medical studies in 2009 and his dental studies in 2015, both at the Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana. He pursued his specialization in maxillofacial surgery between 2010 and 2016. During his training, he completed several rotations abroad (USA, Austria, Belgium, United Kingdom), working under the mentorship of internationally renowned surgeons. After passing the specialist exam in 2016, he began working at the Clinical Department of Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery, University Medical Centre Ljubljana. Within the ortho-facial team, he performs surgeries for orthognathic abnormalities, facial skeleton injuries, facial corrections, and temporomandibular joint surgery. At the clinical department, he also deals with dentoalveolar surgery and the placement of dental implants. In 2024, he began European subspecialty training in facial plastic surgery.
Since 2016, as an independent specialist, he has collaborated with several dental clinics as a consultant, performing oral surgery and dental implant placement.
He began working in the aesthetic field in 2012, and since 2017 he has collaborated with several aesthetic clinics in Slovenia (Nobilis, MedArt). He now performs procedures independently with his own team.
In 2022, he was part of the surgical team that was the first in Slovenia (and in this part of Europe) to perform orthognathic surgery using customized implants and guides printed with 3D technology.
For several years, he has been actively involved as a lecturer, mentor, and coordinator, contributing to the development of facial and oral surgery in Slovenia. In 2022, he was elected president of the Slovenian Association of Maxillofacial and Oral Surgeons (ZMOKS), and in 2023, he became the coordinator of the maxillofacial surgery specialization at the Medical Chamber of Slovenia. He is also a representative of the European Association OMFSUEMS (Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery Section of the European Union of Medical Specialists) and EBOMFS (European Board of Oro-Maxillo-Facial Surgery). Additionally, he is a member of the EAO (European Association for Osseointegration) and EACMF (European Association for Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery).
In his work, he prioritizes individual, and his approach is comprehensive and team-oriented. He believes that every smile counts, so he combines technical knowledge with an understanding of beauty and function, paying attention to detail and an artistic eye to restore health and beauty to each patient.
