Description

Surgery is performed under general anaesthesia. It takes 60-90 minutes. Most of the time the incision is in the mouth and there will be no visible scars.

Postoperative recovery

• Day 1-2: Cold compressions on the second day
• Week 1: The bandage is removed.
• Week 2: Decreased bruising, gradual decrease of swelling.
• Week 6: Normal sport activities if osteotomies were performed.
